Bellātor per forum ambulābat. tabellās nōn legēbat. statuās spectābat. marmor manū tangēbat. columnam circumībat.

 

"Bellātor," Octaviāna ā longē clāmāvit, "tabellās lege!"

 

"legō!" respondit Bellātor, quī nihil legēbat.

 

tum, dum prope mūrum ambulat, pēs eius in saxō solūtō lapsus est. manūs ad mūrum iēcit et sē tenuit. et ibi, ante oculōs, erat imāgō.

 

porta. in saxō sculpta. et sub portā, litterae.

 

"ecce!" clāmāvit Bellātor. "iānua! iānuam invēnī!"

 

Sextus celeriter accessit. portam saxeam spectāvit. tum Bellātōrem.

 

"fortūnātior quam callidior," inquit Sextus. sed subrīdēbat.
