"quis es tū," inquit Bellātor, "quī nōs probat? quis tē mīsit?"

 

Sinistrus subrīsit. "nēmō mē mīsit," inquit. "ego ipse vēnī."

 

verba erant simplicia sed gravia. Sinistrus nōn erat homō potentium. nōn erat homō imperātōris. nōn erat homō ūllīus. ipse vēnerat. ipse agēbat.

 

"sed quaestiō bona est," addidit Sinistrus, Bellātōrem spectāns. "plūrimī nōn rogant. plūrimī mē timent aut mē laudant. vōs rogātis quis sim." subrīsit. "hoc quoque mē dēlectat."
