Episode 5.1: Meet Sinistrus

 

Octaviāna prōcessit et benignē respondit. "grātum est tē cognōscere, Sinistre. Caecilius nōs multā dē amīcīs suīs docuit."

 

Sinistrō haec verba placuērunt. sē in sellā posuit et, digitōs compōnēns, cum Recentiīs colloquī coepit.

 

"audīvī," inquit Sinistrus, "dē homine quōdam Rōmae. nōmen eius est Gaius Recentius." oculōs ad Recentiōs vertit. "nōmen vestrum, nōnne?"

 

Bellātor ōs aperuit sed Octaviāna celeriter respondit: "nōmen commūne est."

 

"ita est," inquit Sinistrus, manū leviter agitātā. "sed Gaius Recentius nōn est commūnis. est vir bonus sed anxius. dē potentibus quibusdam saepe loquitur."

 

Caecilius, audīēns, adnuit. "Sinistrus omnēs Rōmānōs nōtōs cognōscit!"

 

Sinistrus Recentiōs spectāvit. oculī eius plūra dīcēbant quam vōx.
