P. Vergilius Maro, Aeneid 1.505–519

Dido sits enthroned in the temple, dispensing laws and assigning labors to her people. Aeneas suddenly spots Antheus, Sergestus, brave Cloanthus, and other Trojan companions whom the storm had scattered to distant shores. He and Achates watch from inside their concealing cloud, torn between joy and fear, as the chosen envoys approach the temple to plead for help.

Tier 1

ambō virī adhūc latent in nūbe cavā. spectant sociōs.
