Episode 1.b

Quintus leads you around the face of the rock to a place where the stone juts outward in a broad ledge. He stops there and says nothing for a moment.
The chains are here. Or what is left of them. They are enormous, each link the size of a man's torso, forged from something darker than iron. They hang from a bolt driven deep into the rock face, broken. The breaks are clean, with no rust and no wear at the edges, as if the links had simply let go on their own.
Quintus crouches and picks up a fragment of chain from the ledge. He turns it in his hands.
"His name is Prometheus," he says. "A Titan. He was bound here as punishment for crimes against the gods, sentenced to suffer on this rock for longer than Rome has existed, longer than anything you know." He sets the fragment down carefully. "He is not here anymore."
He stands and looks out over the drop. Far below, almost too far to see, a thread of light runs along a crack in the stone, low and steady.
"The TSTT is unraveling. The world this machine holds together is coming apart from its very foundation. Prometheus is the reason. That is everything that I know for certain." He glances back at you. "Which means before we follow that trail, you need to know more about who he is. As do I, frankly."
