Episode 1.3.a

>Caecilius's Villa, Pompeii, Italy, 79 CE<

Sextus tells you what he can. It is not much, and he knows it. More to the point, his villa is no longer safe. Marcus knows where he lives.

"There is someone who can help," he says. "A man named Caecilius. His house is nearby. He is the kind of man who opens his door first and asks questions later. Go to him."

The streets are quieter now, the sun hammering down on the stone. You follow Sextus's directions to a well-kept house not far from the forum.

Caecilius himself answers the door. From somewhere inside comes the smell of something very good cooking: that is Euphorbus, the cook, a large and cheerful man who can be heard laughing at something in the kitchen. And standing in the atrium, looking entirely unsurprised to see you, is Tiberius.

"You found it!" he says. "Good. Caecilius is my father. You're going to like him."

Prompt: Begin to convince Caecilius that he should be your amīcus.
