The boy lands in the grass and takes off at a sprint the moment his feet hit the ground after seeing Marcus run off, confused and angry.

He catches his breath, then turns to look at you. He is grinning.

"Thank you," he says. "What are your names?"

He seems genuinely curious and trustworthy. You tell him your real name.

Tiberius glances back toward the city, then back at you. "There's someone you should meet. Sextus Aemilianus, he lives in Pompeii. Go find his villa. Tell him Tiberius sent you."

He is already running before he finishes the sentence.

Prompt: Compose the first memorātiō for your Recentius.

CODEX 1.1

A sudden, strange feeling sweeps over you again. Time seems to stop.

Lusura flutters back in.

"What a fortunate thing," Lusura says, "running into Tiberius like that. We have reached the end of the first episode, and it is time to reflect. Your memories are incomplete. It is your job to help restore them, using the memorātiō. What? You haven't been introduced to the memorātiō yet? What is going on at Mission Control? Hold on, I have updated your display with a link that explains it. Everything you need is there."
