Octāviāna dīcit, "ō Caeciliī, diēs splendidē nunc lucet, nam vir magnus iānuam nōbīs aperit."

 

Caecilius rīdet. spectat ad Tiberium fīlium. "amīca tua bonōs morēs habet."

 

pater spectat ad coquum Euphorbum. "ō Euphorbe serve, quā hōrā cēnātūrī sumus? estne cēna bona hodiē?"

 

coquus Euphorbus rīdet. "ita vērō, domine! cēnam optimam cēnātūrus es, et, ō amīcī novī, vōs quoque optimē cēnātūrī estis!"

 

Caecilius ad fīlium dīcit, "mī fīlī, necesse est tibi dūcere Recentiōs amīcos ad cubicula." spectat ad Recentiōs et addit, "vultisne nōbīscum manēre? diēs est longus et manūs sunt sordidae."
