Sinistrus paulum tacuit, deinde dīxit: "bene. respōnsiōnem habētis. sed respōnsiō sine causīs nihil valet. volō trēs causās: trēs rēs quibus respōnsiō vestra stat."

 

"nōn cūrō: causae historicae, philosophicae, an dē vītā vestrā? omnēs bonae sunt. ūnum cūrō: suntne vērae? īte nunc. omnia quae quaeritis hīc sunt."

 

Sinistrus manum mōvit, et subitō in tablīnō novae rēs appārēbant.
