Octāviāna respondit, et vōx eius certa erat. "hoc cognōscimus," inquit. "philosophus Graecus, cuī nōmen Platō erat, hanc fābulam ōlim scrīpsit, in librō quī 'Rēs Pūblica' vocātur. est fābula dē cavō, et dē hominibus vīnctīs, et dē umbrīs."

 

Sinistrus diū tacuit. tum dīxit: "nōn possum vōs laudāre." vōx eius dūra erat. "certē illa vōx, quae solet vōbīs adesse, vōs adiūvit." paulum tacuit. "an nōn adiūvit? hīc illa vōx vōs invenīre nōn potest. fortasse vōs ipsī aliquid ōlim didicistis."

 

Sinistrus Recentiōs spectāvit, incertus. eōs laudāre dēbēbat, an rīdēre? nesciēbat.
