"Maecēnātem et librum quaerāmus," inquit Octaviāna.

 

Sextus caput quassāvit. "iam volūmen habēmus!" inquit, volūmen manū tenēns. "Maecēnās librum scrīpsit. liber est hoc volūmen. nōs iam id invēnimus, nōnne?"

 

vērum erat. volūmen iam in manibus Sextī erat. Maecēnās et liber erant vestīgium quod Recentiōs hūc dūxerat. nōn erat vestīgium novum.

 

"iterum cōgitāte," inquit Sextus. "volūmen nōbīs locum dīcit. quem locum?"
