Episode 3.1: Back to Caecilius

 

Caecilius manum tollit. "satis, satis," inquit. nōn rīdet. vōx eius nōn est īrāta, sed gravis.

 

"audī, Bellātor. Rōma nōn sōlum magna est. Rōma caput mundī est."

 

Caecilius per tablīnum ambulat et dīcit, "ōlim rēgēs Rōmam habēbant. Rōmānī rēgēs expulērunt. deinde Senātus et cōnsulēs rem pūblicam rēxērunt. sed posteā bella cīvīlia vēnērunt. Rōmānī Rōmānōs interfēcērunt! mors ubīque erat."

 

Caecilius ad Recentiōs sē vertit. "tum Augustus vēnit et Rōmānīs pācem dedit. Augustus prīnceps erat, nōn rēx. Senātus manēbat, sed Augustus vēram potestātem habuit. et pāx bona erat."

 

Caecilius Bellātōrem spectat. "intellegisne? pāx omnia mūtat. sine pāce, nūlla pecūnia. sine pāce, nūllum negōtium."

 


 quid Recentiī agunt?

 

Option A: Bellātor dīcit, "intellegō! Titus nunc pācem dat, sīcut Augustus!"

 

Option B: Bellātor haeret. "uhh… Augustus… togam habēbat?"
