Gaius Valerius Catullus, Carmen 61.184-198

The groom is addressed directly: his bride awaits in the bedroom, radiant as a flower, and he is urged to delay no longer in coming to her.

Tier 1

vir, iam licet tibi venire: femina tua est in cubiculo, candida florido ore

velut albus flos vel fulva herba,

sed vir, dei me iuvent, tu non es minus pulcher,

neque Venus te neglegit.

sed tempus volat: noli morari, i ad eam.

tu non moratus es longum tempus: iam tu venis.

bona Venus tecum iuvabit, nam id quod tu cupis, cupis aperte,

et tu non capis bonum amorem.
