Titus Livius, Ab Urbe Condita 1.59.12-13

Brutus sets out with a select band of armed volunteers to rouse the army against the king at the camp before Ardea, leaving Lucretius in charge of the city as prefect, while amid the uproar Tullia flees her home as men and women curse her and call down the furies of her parents wherever she goes.

Tier 1

Brutus ipse iit cum iunioribus lectis qui armati sunt et nomina sua libenter dabant. Brutus iit in castra Ardeam ad collegendum exercitum (to gather an army) contra regem:

Brutus relinquit imperium urbis Lucretio, praefecto urbis quem rex iam ante praefectum fecit.

Inter hunc tumultum Tullia a domo fugit cum viri et feminae furias (furies) parentum invocarent. Accusationes erant omnibus in locis in quibus Tullia ambulavit.
