The narrator interrupts himself, noting that he has wandered far from his starting point, and gives a rapid summary of the steps that brought Ariadne to the shore of Dia.

sed nunc dē Ariadnā iterum dīcam. dē familiā Ariadnae nōn multa nārrābō.

Ariadna patrem suum reliquit. Ariadna sorōrem suam reliquit. Ariadna etiam mātrem suam reliquit. māter eam multum amābat.

Ariadna omnia relīquit. Ariadna nōn familiam, sed Thēseum amāvit.

Ariadna et Thēseus nāve ad īnsulam Dīam vēnērunt. tum Ariadna in somnō erat. Thēseus eam in lītore relīquit et abiit.
