Catullus says a mage should be born from Gellius sleeping with his own mother

magus sit filius ex malo coniugio Gelli et matris suae

 

et magus discat sacrificare animalia in modo Persico:

 

nam necesse est magus filius sit ex coniugio inter matrem et filium suum,

 

si impia religio Persarum est vera,

 

ut magus laete veneretur deos carmine

 

dum facit pinguem circum intestinas esse liquidum in flamma pingue.
