Gaius Valerius Catullus, 25 "To Thallus: Return My Stolen Items!"

Catullus threatens Thallus to return the things he has stolen from Catullus.

o male fur Thalle, mollior quam capilli cuniculi vel medula avis vel exterior pars auris vel fessus penis senis vel aranei,

 

et Thalle, tu qui deles plus quam magna tempestas, cum dea ostendit monstra maris,

 

da mihi meum vestem quam tu a me rapuisti, et Hispanicum linteum et picturas Thynorum, stulte, res quas tu portas sicut antiquas familiares sint.

 

abstine digitos tuos ab rebus meis et eas mihi remitte, ne tuae manus tenerae et latus tuum foede flagella signetur,

 

et iacteris sicut parva navis magno in mari, vento furente.
