tum Iūnō supplex Aeolō dīxit:

 

“Aeole, pater dīvōrum atque rēx hominum dedit tibī potentiam pacāre flūctūs et tollere eōs ventō. gēns inimīca mihī nāvigat Tyrrhēnum aequor, portāns cīvitātem Trōiānam et Penātēs Trōiae in Ītaliam.

 

pone vim ventīs tuīs et superā nāvēs aut age eōs Trōiānōs dīversōs et iace corpora sua pontō.

 

habeō XIV nymphās praestantēs corpore, quārum Dēiopēa est pulcherrima. ego iungam eam tibī in cōnūbiō. illa exigat omnēs annōs tēcum et faciat tē parentem pulchrā prōle.”

 

Aeolus respondit: “est tuus labor, ō rēgīna, invenīre quid dēsīderēs; est fās mihi capere iussa tua. tū potēs dare mihi hoc rēgnum et scēptra favōremque Iovis. ego nunc possum recumbere epulīs dīvōrum per tē et facis mē potentem nimbōrum tempestātumque.
