Rōmānī litterās in multīs rēbus scrībēbant. Rōmānī in papȳrō saepe scrībēbant. papȳrus est herba ab Aegyptō. papȳrus est asper. Rōmānī multōs papȳrōs in volūmine iungunt. Rōmānī in papȳrō ātrāmentum impōnēbant. ātrāmentum fūlīgine et pice et aqua faciunt.

Rōmānī in membrānīs quoque scrībēbant. membrāna sunt cutēs animalōrum siccātae. Rōmānī membrānā in cōdice iungunt. calamus ātrāmentum in papȳrō et membrānīs pōnit.

Rōmānī in tabulīs quoque scrībēbant. tabulā cēram tenet. stȳlus litterās in cērā facit. stylus erat parvus et ferreus. ācer pars stylī litterās creat. hebēs pars stylī litterās ērādit. Rōmānī tabellās iungunt, et cēram impōnunt. in cērā signum in ānulō proprium impōnunt. nēmō tabulās legere et signum nōn frangere potest.

Rōmānī in mūrō quoque scrībēbant. multī scrīptiōnēs erant in mūrīs Pompēiīs. multī Rōmānī ōllās frangēbant, et in ōllae partibus scrībēbant. nōs hodiē ōllās mūrōsque legere possumus.
