Episode 14.3.a
>The Final Chamber of the Praetorium of the Societas Potentium, Aegyptus, 80 CE<
The door is shut. You are in the final chamber.
In the middle of the room stands a pedestal, and a light flickers over it. The pedestal is empty.
There is no Lapis. Why? Where is it? It ought to be here.
Then something gold catches your eye, small, lying in the dust of the chamber. It is a Roman aureus.
Beyond the door the noise of the fighting grows louder. You move toward the pedestal slowly, all of you, not sure of anything. Is this one more trick?
When you look closely, you can see that something large and heavy once rested on the pedestal. In the middle the dust and sand lie thinner than at the edges.
The aureus is standing on its edge.
On one face is the image of Marcus Antonius. On the other, Gaius Julius Caesar Octavianus.
Prompt: Say something about the aureus. (Deliberate the meaning of the coin and what clues it may give about the Lapis. Deliberate first in your teams, then in the immersion prompt with the other Recentii.)
