Episode 8.1.b

>Date and location unavailable<

Sinistrus is pleased with your answer, for about as long as it takes him to become suspicious of it.

"I cannot praise you for that. Mission Control helped you, surely. They built you a CODEX, and you follow it like sheep. You had the Greek's story handed to you before you ever walked in here, didn't you? Don't bother answering. Of course you did."

And then, all at once, he is furious. His eyes go wide and sweep the room. He throws up his hands like an actor in a tragedy and cries out at the top of his voice:

"I curse you, Demiurge, for giving me life... if I can call my days a 'life.' I am trapped here, inside your game!"

It is a hard moment to sit through. Then, just as suddenly, Sinistrus is himself again, urbane and cheerful, as if nothing had happened. His skin gives off light. He is nitidus, the way Sextus was, but this light is cold.

"Well. Here you are, Recentii. I know you need something, and that you need it whether you mean to play the Demiurge's game" (he laughs at the word) "or someone else's. Mine, perhaps. Or that fool Marcus's.

"I will say this much: I can give it to you."

He smiles again, and waits.

Prompt: Figure out whether Sinistrus is telling the truth. What does he want, and can he really give you what you need?
